Volunteer Driver Service featured on BBC Somerset

Help make a difference—become a volunteer driver

WCN’s Volunteer Driver Service was recently featured on Mel Everett’s BBC Somerset programme.

Project Coordinator Rachel Cohen-White explained how the service works and the vital difference volunteer drivers can make by helping local people attend appointments, access essential services and stay connected with their community.

Volunteer driver Caroline Amor also spoke to Mel about what attracted her to the scheme and how much she enjoys being part of it.

As we launch our driver scheme, we’re looking for more friendly, reliable volunteers to join us. If you enjoy driving, meeting people and helping others, we’d love to hear from you.

Listen to the interview on BBC Sounds. It begins at 1 hour, 14 minutes and 30 seconds in Mel’s programme from 1 September.
