What We Offer

Using a network of trained volunteer drivers, the service will provide:

  • Transport to GP, local hospital, dental and healthcare appointments

Our aim is to provide a flexible, affordable and responsive service that helps people remain independent and connected to their community.

How the Service Works

  • Residents contact Wells Community Network to request a journey - 01749 467079

  • Our coordinator matches the request with an available volunteer driver.

  • The driver collects the passenger and takes them to their destination.

  • Passengers will be asked to contribute towards mileage costs and an admin fee or membership fee.

Further details on booking arrangements and operating hours will be available when the service launches.

Volunteer Drivers Needed

  • We are always interested in hearing from local people who would like to support their community by becoming volunteer drivers.

  • Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles, choose when they are available, and help local residents access vital services.
