Vacancy
Project Coordinator
Closing date: Monday 23rd February 2026
Are you passionate about community, connection, and collaboration?
Do you believe in the power of local people to shape positive change?
Wells Community Network (WCN) is a newly registered charity dedicated to building a caring, resilient, and connected community in Wells and the surrounding area. We bring together volunteers, residents, and organisations to support people facing life challenges, reduce isolation, and strengthen the networks that help our community thrive.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to play a key role as WCN continues to develop from a volunteer-led organisation to a professionally supported charity.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys making things happen day to day, supporting volunteers and helping services run smoothly. You will work closely with the Manager, volunteer team leads and volunteers to coordinate projects and services, strengthen practical systems and ensure good communication across the organisation.
The role is well suited to someone who wants to:
Build on the strengths and goodwill that already exist in the local community.
Support and enable volunteers to lead projects and deliver services.
Encourage collaboration, connection and shared problem-solving between local groups and organisations.
Contribute to WCN’s continued development in a practical, hands-on way.
As Project Coordinator, you will coordinate services and activities, support volunteer recruitment and onboarding, manage day-to-day administration and communications, and help ensure information is well organised and accessible. You will also support events and activities, including WCN’s bi-annual Community Day.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about people, community and working collaboratively.
Organised, reliable and comfortable juggling a range of practical tasks.
Approachable and confident supporting volunteers and working with a wide range of people.
A clear communicator who enjoys building positive relationships.
Flexible, solution-focused and willing to step in when needed.
If you share our belief that communities thrive when volunteers, people with lived experience and organisations work together, we’d love to hear from you.
